Mancino`s in New Haven

Usually I have a great experience w the staff. This time was a very unhappy visit. Ordered a 8 inch grinder, small cheese pizza, and a salad on a walk in carry out. 45 minutes later it's ready. Only 2 tables in the dining room occupied and one table sat down after we ordered. After 40 minutes i go to the counter and people are standing around. One guy w earbuds in just staring into space. Finally get our food and go home. I open my sandwhich and the top portion is burnt. Worst sandwhich I've ever had. Questionable if i will ever return. Which is sad because the food is usually amazing.

It was our first time there and it was delicious! The food was fresh, filling and ready fast. The staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.

Service was great. My pizza was wonderful but they were out of mushrooms.

The grinders are good a little messy, but good. The pizza on the other hand is a toss up sometimes it's good pizza other time it's bad. You can tell when someone makes the dough who normally doesntnor is new that's for sure.

Love getting their grinders. Haven't had a bad service.

They could keep the place much cleaner but the subs are amazing here.

Great food, the bread sticks are amazing!

Food ok at best. Place was tired and dirty. Ordered online. Told 15 to 30 min. It took 60 min to get. No discount or concession for the waste of my time. Never visiting again.

Usually a good place however last time I was there my food was done about 45 minutes after I was told it would be ready, and I heard some employees complaining to others about having taken my order despite it was called in more than an hour before close.

I won’t ever give this place my business again the new management scammed people with gift cards. You permanently lost a costumer over $20 I hope it was worth it.

Great pizza and friendly staff.

Their app gave us confirmation time to pick up order because delivery was not available. Went to get order and they had not even began making it. Called Slice to make it right and they only wanted to give us 25% off but after the service when we went to pick up we will never do business with this place again.

The food is always tasty. I no longer live in the area but we used to eat here regularly. The quality of the food hasn't changed. The food is always warm, not hot, and I find it disappointeing. The meatballs were at the bottom of the spaghetti today burried under all the cheese.

Good food. Decent prices.

Great pizza and sandwiches. The cheese bread is the one thing that compliments the pizza. Service is good for placing order at counter, and then an employee bringing out the order. If you do need something else you will need to go to the front counter. Atmosphere I'll give a four. Love the steak sub.

Really like their subs

The food was ok. Pricey for what you get. Don't use the slice app and use a credit card. They canceled my order due to not having driver's but they took off the money and now I have to wait for my money back 24 to 48 hrs, but they sure do get their cash the same day. Wtf

Pretty good lil pizza stop in New Haven. Came by on a rainy night in October. I would go as far as saying this is the best option in the vicinity of the New Haven Holiday Inn Express. Pizza came out hot and good. Friendly staff. Prices seemed fair.

Excellent grinders!

The place is kind of small, and hard to find if you haven't been there before, but the grinders are amazing!I'll never go back to subway when Mancino's is open.18in subs people! And they're packed full of- whatever you want on the thing. There isn't as much customization as subway, but they have enough choices it's not even an issue. They also aren't strict on substitutions (as long as it's not drastic).The eating area could use some updating, but that's what the awesome take-home sub boxes are for!

I recommend the Italian grinder with the GOLDEN dressing!

Ran by a bunch of unprofessional teenagers, burnt chicken tenders, under cooked fries, light on toppings. Wouldnt ever reccomend. Would rate a 0 star if possible.

While the pizza was good and loaded with cheese, the service was very slow. Nothing special about the decor. The place was not very busy.

We were regulars at Mancino's on West Coliseum until we moved. Now the New Haven shop is closer. Glad to say we got the same great service and top shelf eats!

Great food every time, prices are fair! Update, don’t order delivery online. I ordered 2 pizzas and they screwed both up. Called to speak to the manager, big surprise, no manager. I don’t know what changed but the quality has gone way downhill. The crust used to be good, now it’s like eating a whole loaf of bread per slice

Food was good but was garlicky.

Came here based on reviews. Barely were acknowledged coming in the door. We placed our order, put a tip in the jar, and sat down. Mozzarella bread sticks were cold when they arrived; cheese was barely melted on the ends. Calzones came out, they were hotter than the breadsticks but they sat in puddles. My husband had mushrooms and cheese; it was sitting in water. The bottom of both of ours were soggy. Overall we don't plan on coming back anytime soon. Bummed bc it's a local place.

Not bad atmosphere - pretty good food

Basic grinder sandwich fair. This plate cost $9. And then some. Ok for a mom and pop joint I went there because it wasn't busy at all. Food was delivered on a timely manner. Sandwich is good.

Stop in order a steak grinder very impressed come out hot. I would go back.

The breadsticks aren't great. The cheese they served with it was cold. Pizza sauce was mediocre. Kind of bland.

Wife got steak sandwich for dinner. Was upset because steak sandwich has not been very good of late. The meat they used was fatty and tasteless , but to my amazement it was very good . no fat was able to eat with out gagging on all the fat. Good job guys it reminded me of how the sandwich was years ago GOOD.

No atmosphere at all but the pizza was good so i would give it a two in half actually.

Always a great place with great food!

Grinders were ok, but service was not good. They tried but had problems with communicating with each other. Probably should be wearing hair nets, especially the cooks.
